Delta to start new non-stop service to Williston, ND
Delta Air Lines will begin new non-stop service between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Williston, ND (ISN) on November 12th, 2012. The twice daily flights will be flown by 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft operated by SkyWest Airlines.

Bearskin Airlines halts Thunder Bay route plans
Thunder Bay-based Bearskin Airlines has tabled plans to begin Minneapolis/St. Paul to Thunder Bay, Canada (YQT) service. The news comes just days after United Airlines announced new Chicago to Thunder Bay service to begin in early 2013.
Spirit Airlines adding MSP to Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers
Spirit Airlines will be rapidly expanding its route map from Minneapolis-St. Paul Intl. over the next year. On November 8, 2012, Spirit will begin daily non-stop service to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Fort Myers (RSW). This new service is in addition to the new non-stop service to Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX (DFW) Spirit announced yesterday, which will begin April 2013.

Great Lakes asks DOT to rebid some EAS markets
Great Lakes Airlines is encouraging the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to rebid some Essential Air Service (EAS) markets it was awarded to fly from Minneapolis/St. Paul Intl. Airport. In an email to the DOT, the airline says it has experienced operational problems in MSP due to its rapid expansion at the airport. The airline specific cites issues with facilities at MSP and changes in how tickets are sold.
Some AirTran flights moving to Southwest in November
Earlier this week, Southwest Airlines published flight schedules for AirTran/Southwest for the Nov 4, 2012 to Jan 4, 2013 time period. Among the many nationwide changes in this schedule, Southwest Airlines will take over some Twin Cities flying from its AirTran subsidiary.
