Sun Country Airlines is hinting that they may be adding new service to London, England. This is pure speculation at this point, so stay tuned for an announcement directly from the airline.
The latest log was added to the fire earlier today when Sun Country posted a “hint” on its own Facebook page depicting “Vacation Joe’s” face pasted to a photo of a Buckingham Palace guard, the photo can be seen at Sun Country’s Facebook page.

What!?!?!?!
How?!?!
To me this would seem they need a new aircraft. The range of the 738 is about 3000nm, while MSP-London is over 4000. I suppose they could make a fuel stop but that seems inconvenient.
My guess is with a JFK, BOS, or even a BGR stopover. They got their ETOPS120 rating so hey, why not?
my other guess is that this could be service to London, Ontario, Canada.
What London airport would SY fly into? Are there slots available this summer at Heathrow? Gatwick perhaps. Please not Luton.
MSP is less than 3000 miles from Reykjavik. Refueling in Iceland could be beneficial.
