Delta Paint Updates

Recently, we have been receiving requests for updates to the Delta paint section. We wanted to take the time to let everybody know that we have not forgotten about updating this section of the site. During the summer months Delta has slowed the painting to almost no aircraft in the paint shops. The airline and its affiliates need all the aircraft in service to meet the summer travel demands. Delta plans to start painting again late summer/early fall, and CEO Richard Anderson wants all planes repainted by President’s Day 2011.

We are working on a way to update the section, making it a little easier to navigate. Look for an update coming soon. We appreciate your patience. Keep the photos coming!!

Thanks for the update. February 21st, 2011 will be here before Richard Anderson knows it.

Delta is nearly done with the mainline aircraft. I think they are still painting a few select 738s and 764s during the summer in ATL. By the time the painting picks up speed again, we are really only looking at the regionals to pick up speed on their aircraft.

I am guessing that DL is not TOO concerned with their aircraft in the wavy gravy, but they really want the NW paint a thing of the past by next winter/early spring.
