Delta’s 01Sep international aircraft positioning flights
Delta Air Lines has upgraded one of its Seattle/Tacoma, WA (SEA) to Minneapolis/St. Paul flights from a Boeing 757-300 to a Boeing 747-400 on September 1 only. Also on this date only, Delta will operate an extra section from New York-Kennedy, NY (JFK) to MSP flights on an Airbus A330-300. These equipment movements are to position international aircraft for the schedule change from summer to fall.
Delta to begin non-stop service to Toledo
Delta Air Lines will begin new non-stop service from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Toledo, OH (TOL) starting November 1, 2010. The service will be operated twice daily using 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200s operated by Pinnacle Airlines.
Delta cancels MSP to Thunder Bay, Canada route
Delta Air Lines informed the Thunder Bay, Canada (YQT) community yesterday that the airline is canceling its Minneapolis service in October this year. The airline has been operating one daily flight in the winter and two flights in the summer peak.

Delta loads new Minneapolis to Mexico City service
Delta Air Lines has loaded its recently approved Minneapolis/St. Paul to Mexico City, Mexico non-stop service. Daily flights will begin on December 18, 2010 and will use Airbus A319 aircraft.
Delta starts summer schedule
Today is the start of Delta’s summer schedule. The summer is a peak season for Delta (and most airlines) which means more frequencies and some additional seasonal markets. This year it also is the first time Delta Air Lines has truly mixed pre-merger Delta and Northwest fleets bringing extra aircraft diversity to MSP and other Delta hubs.
UA Diverts to MSP 5/26/10
Due to weather in Chicago, United diverted 2 jets to Minneapolis / St. Paul Wednesday evening. The following flights diverted to MSP:
UAL882 NRT-ORD – -> B744 (N182UA)
UAL836 PVG-ORD – – > B772 (N787UA)
Also, there was an Alaska 737-800 diversion to MSP: Flight 130 from Anchorage.
